Answers to frequently asked questions
No, it is strictly prohibited. Generators emit carbon monoxide and must only operate outdoors.
Conventional ones — 65–75 dB (like a vacuum cleaner). Inverter ones — 52–60 dB (quieter and more comfortable).
Inverter generators provide clean voltage and are safe for sensitive equipment. Conventional ones are cheaper and suitable for heavy loads.
Gasoline — AI-92. Oil — SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40, depending on the season.
If you need a generator for occasional use and small loads — choose gasoline. If needed for long-term operation, high power, and fuel efficiency — choose diesel.
Calculate the total power of all devices that will be connected simultaneously and multiply by a safety factor of 1.2–1.5. For equipment with starting currents (refrigerator, pump), the reserve can be up to 2.5 times.
Gasoline ones — usually 6–10 hours without interruption. Diesel ones — 12–24 hours, and industrial models can work for days.
On average, a gasoline generator consumes 0.5–1.2 l/h, diesel — 0.8–1.8 l/h, but exact values depend on load and model.
